Swizz Beatz sat down with DJ Prostyle for The Pro Show on NYC’s Power 105.1. The fabled Ruff Ryders’ helmsman shared a bunch of previously unknown facts about his upcoming return project Poison. He’d already the list of names associated with the project, including J. Cole. Up until his interview with DJ Prostyle, we had no idea that J. Cole had undertaken the executive producer role at Swizz’s request, a decision he explains will allow him to focus on what he does best: beatmaking.

Aside from the big revelation of J. Cole playing curator, Swizz also shared the titles for his next three albums. Following Poison, Swizz will release an “All-R&B” titled Beauty & The Beats. Secondly, he intends on dropping Return of The Showtime, a compilation album full of “club bangers.” Lastly, Swizz expressed his desire to complete his agenda with another compilation album entitled Global Mindset. There he hopes to push the invisible boundaries of “our” cultural borders, as A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie was courageous enough to try himself in 2018.

DJ Prostyle asked Swizz if he’d worked with Mac Miller at any point in his career, which he hadn’t. But he did reflect positively on their chance encounters and expressed regret they hadn’t made plans sooner. Watch the interview in full (down below).
