When I realized that auditing wasn’t the career I wanted for the rest of my life, I got some great advice. Rather than sulk about it and become less productive, I pushed myself to get even better at it first and put more of my personality into the job. I took risks, spoke my mind, and didn’t let myself get pushed around. It ultimately lead to me staying in the field for 3 extra years and leaving me much better prepared to find what I was really looking for. Take advantage of the opportunity that’s right in front of you, especially when you’re at a loss for what’s next. Play like you’ve got nothing to lose and the rest will work itself out. #craftbeer
