Sited at the base of the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, the Shooting Star House is an 8,650-square-foot Wyoming vacation home. The exterior’s modern form is offset by local stone, reclaimed barn wood, and cedar shingles, offering a natural complement to the rugged scenery. A glazed entry leads to two wings. A bunk room, utility room, guests suits, and a ski locker are housed in the North side, leaving the main living spaces, a cocktail room, office, and master suite to make up the South wing. Throughout the interior, contemporary furnishings, bold graphic textiles, and geometric fixtures tie in with an organic palette of concrete, stone, and timber. Expansive glazing brings the outdoors in while exterior living spaces are immersed in views of the surrounding valley, woodlands, and the Teton Mountain Range in the distance.
