Performance has made incredible leaps in the last decade, and with electric vehicles, limits that were once thought unbreakable seem to be falling every day. The Aspark Owl has been putting the hypercar world on notice in testing, and the production version is ready with numbers that will make you do a double-take. Four electric motors put 2,012 horsepower and 1,475 ft-lb of torque to all four wheels. 0-60 passes by in slightly more than an eye blink — literally — in 1.69 seconds. Top speed is a claimed 250 MPH. And the 1,300 kW lithium-ion battery pack is good for 280 miles of range — although that could vary greatly depending on how heavy the driver’s right foot is. The Owl isn’t exactly light at 4,200 pounds, but the power on tap and a rigid carbon fiber monocoque chassis, carb-reinforced composite body panels, and a total height of just over 38 inches mean that handling will more than likely defy the heft. Aspark will be making only 50, and they are sure to go nearly as fast as the Owl itself.
