Building on the design of the excellent Powerbeats Pro true wireless earphones, Beats’ new Powerbeats are an affordable, active-ready option. The sweat-resistant housing is similar to the Pro, using noise isolation and a roomy inner cavity to create dynamic sound. Unlike the Pro, it has a streamlined round cable running from the end of the ear hook to the other side. Dual beam-forming mics and Apple’s H1 chip make taking calls and hands-free voice assistant access easy, and they offer up to 15 hours of playback per charge, with a 5-minute charge over Lightning offering an additional 1.5 hours of audio.
