1990 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 Factory-Owned Test Car

Previous ownership counts for a lot when it comes to vintage autos, and the original owner of this 1990 Porsche Carrera 4 is hard to beat — Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, or Porsche itself. The factory ownership accounts for the unusual details of the car, like its Paint to Sample Green Pearlescent Metallic and matching Green Leather to Sample interior with dark brown inserts and wood trim. Leather also covers the dashboard, headliner, sun visors, and steering wheel, a test for the abilities of Porsche’s interior craftsmen. The Porsche factory owned the car until 1993, when it was sold to Heinz Mohr, a captain of the German national ski team. The car was then sold to another German alpine skier, as documented by factory service records. The car was registered in France and used from 1996 to 2022, when it was repainted in its original color before being brought to North America. The car will go to auction via Broad Arrow auctions at its Porsche 75th Anniversary Auction in Atlanta, Georgia.
