Freespirit Recreation wants to take the season out of camping, making it a year-round activity. The Colorado company’s Hub V2 uses a wall hub design that makes it near-instant to deploy — nothing to drag out or set up. That means a standing-height four-person tent in seconds. The Hub V2’s features insulated roll-up walls that cover the base mesh, making it weatherproof for any climate. The redesigned Hub ditches the X-braced walls and awkward D-shaped doors for a completely open end. Those Tri-Layer walls use polyfill insulation between 150-D ripstop oxford layers, with a 1,000-mm polyurethane-coated rainfly to keep everything dry. For real cold weather use, there is a stove jack in the roof for a wood stove-heated hot tent. The new Hub is available in nearly any size and format to fit a variety of vehicles crew sizes.
