Write for Splurjj
Your words.
Our platform.
We're looking for writers who understand the difference between content and culture. If you're that person — let's talk.
What We're Looking For
Splurjj publishes long-form editorial that respects the reader's intelligence. We're not interested in trend recaps or keyword-stuffed roundups. We want pieces that take a position, develop an argument, and leave the reader with something they didn't have before.
We run pieces between 800 and 4,000 words. We want specificity over generality, evidence over assertion, and voice over neutrality.
🎯
A clear point of view
Every piece should argue something. "Here are 10 things" is not a point of view.
📐
Specificity
Numbers, names, details. We can tell the difference between research and assumption.
✍️
Voice
Splurjj has a tone — direct, confident, intelligent. Your voice should fit or complement it.

Goal connection
The best Splurjj pieces connect to something the reader can act on. Keep that in mind.

How to Pitch
Create a Writer Account
Sign up at splurjj.com and select "Writer" as your account type. This gives you access to the writer dashboard where you can draft, submit, and track your pitches.
Submit Your Pitch
From your writer dashboard, submit a 2–3 sentence pitch: what the piece argues, why it matters now, and why you're the person to write it. No need to write the full piece first.
We Respond Within 5 Days
Our editorial team reviews every pitch. If we're interested, we'll commission the piece with a brief and a deadline. We'll also tell you why if we pass.
Write. Get Edited. Get Published.
Our editors work with you to make the piece as strong as possible. No ghosting, no silent rejections after commission, no rewrites without explanation.
