1959 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham Custom Station Wagon

[ad_1]

In 1959, one of the most luxurious and expensive cars on the market was the Cadillac Eldorado Brougham. Each of the 99 Eldorado Broughams made in 1959 were built from a specially-selected chassis that was shipped to Italy, where they were covered in hand-built four-door Pininfarina bodywork and shipped back to the States for testing and delivery to dealers. At $14,000, the car cost more than a Rolls-Royce. Fast forward nearly 50 years, and one of these rare Cadillacs becomes the basis for a wild 15-year, $2.3 million build that combines an Eldorado Brougham with a 1956 Nomad station wagon. The spare-no-expense build features a Tom Nelson Racing Engines 632 cubic-inch twin-turbo Warrior V8 making 1,025 horsepower, with the chopped and sectioned body riding on a custom space frame tubular chassis. The car is painted in a two-tone Fawntana Rose and Titanium Silver colorway, with Fawntana Rose painted interior, Recaro bucket seats from a Cadillac CTS-V, and striped tiger wood, figured maple and African wenge wood trim. This incredible custom goes to auction at Mecum’s Indy event in May 2023.
